Our 7-step interview process

Looking to start a new chapter of your career with LottieFiles can be an exciting yet overwhelming task. We understand that this is important to you and so we believe in making this hiring process as smooth and enjoyable for you as possible. After all, you’re embarking on a new adventure and we want you to love the process! Here are the simple 7 steps you will experience as a candidate for LottieFiles.

  1. Culture Interview

Once we review your application and see that you might be a good fit for the role, our Talent Specialist will reach out to you for your very first interview.

For the Culture Interview, you'll be invited to meet with our People and Culture Lead. At LottieFiles, we consider culture fit just as important as your skills and expertise. We want to enjoy working with you, and we also want you to enjoy being a part of the Team and its culture. Discussions will be mainly about who you are as a person, both inside and outside of work, your career aspirations, your personality and preferences. Come as you are, for that’s the best way to prepare for this round of interview.

  1. Hiring Manager Interview

The person you’ll meet for this interview will be your Team Lead, someone you will work closely with. Your Team Lead will be the best person to explain the details of your role and responsibilities. We want to make sure your talent and skill set match the role, and that you will enjoy taking on new and exciting tasks at LottieFiles.

  1. Project / Task Assessment

Depending on your role, we might ask you to complete a project or a task to share with us. This might be in the form of a design process with mockups, a coding project, or other assignments that may help us understand your skills.

Be creative, go all out, and show us how awesome you are! We often find ourselves inspired by your great talent and look forward to this part of the hiring process. Each and every task or project you submit will be thoroughly assessed, and we will even share with you the feedback from your future team members.

  1. Team Interview

Depending on your role, you might be asked to talk to Team Member(s) you’ll be working closely with. This is a great opportunity to meet some of our brilliant team members at LottieFiles, and for us to get to know a bit more about you. It’s also a great time to ask questions about what your day-to-day at LottieFiles might look like!

  1. Reference Check

You will be asked to submit two professional references for us to contact. We do reach out to both references and take this step of the hiring process seriously, so do provide us with the best people to talk to.

  1. Final Interview with Co-Founders

LottieFiles has a flat organizational structure, meaning there is very few or often no hierarchical barrier between you and the co-founders. You can reach out to both Kshitij and Nattu, and will get many opportunities to get to know them personally. That’s why we included this as the last stage of the interview process, and you will meet either of the two founders of LottieFiles.

  1. Decision and Offer Letter

The decision to hire you is based on the feedback and assessment of the entire hiring process. If we decide that you are perfect for the role, you’ll receive an Offer Letter in the email along with the contract to sign. If we decide otherwise, the recruiter will also inform you of our decision.

Once your offer letter is signed and returned, we will start our onboarding process by welcoming you to meet the rest of the Team and sending you our Welcoming Kit. All employee benefits, perks, access to platforms, and much more will be shared with you on your official first day of work!

We are so excited to have you on board! Welcome to the Team!
